Looking Back 2019 and Looking Forward to 2020!
In blink of eyes, 2019 had come to pass! I think 2019 was really fast, did anyone think the same too? When I looked at the firework yesterday, I was reminded that I stood in front of the same window last year witnessing the same firework too.
My 2019 ~~
I visited places in 2019, probably not as many overseas trips as before. I was in New Zealand for a short winter trip and Hanoi, Vietnam for another trip. Together with my husband, we also visited Newcastle near Sydney for my birthday.

For beach-lovers like us, Newcastle was perfect! It was a very scenic town and I still remembered we rented electric bikes for two days to cycle around this coastal town. It probably would not be very fun for city-lovers because you would probably found it boring except the beach haha. But we absolutely love the sea, the sun, and the quiet and relax vibe that it offered.
I realize in 2019, I started to appreciate more on the views backyard, to explore surrounds in Australia. I am slowly seeing myself settling down here in the long term. Perhaps I am getting used to the pace and the life here?

I started the year with wedding and at least flew back three times for weddings, and spent some quality time with family and friends. I am so honored to also be the bridesmaid for two of my best friends, Shan and YC, who stood by me and supported me even ten years ago when I flew to Australia. Witnessing their marriage is so beautiful that it brings tears to my eyes because I am just so genuinely happy for them.
But the year wasn't a bed of roses too. I lost someone, too. But I also learn and gain something out of this. I see life more clearly than before and know my own purpose in life ever more so clearly. Having a belief seems to be the easy way out, but I know it is probably one of the hardest decision that I have made in life because to place my trust constantly in God is a struggle, especially when you cannot see the answers just immediately. To constantly trusting is difficult and I struggle too, just like everyone does. But every time when things get difficult, I still come back to God because I know His words are true and His promises will always hold true.
If I can be completely honest, my 2019 is not too difficult to cope. I felt like going through life is a constant journey of ups and downs, it was a roller coaster ride because it was not meant to be easy. I have my fair share of laugh and tears too but through it all, I am not alone. And I think that is what I learned in 2019. No matter where life leads me to, this peace and source of strength will always be with me.
My 2020 ~~
So looking forward to 2020, I just want to remind myself that knowing how much I am loved, I need to just push myself a little, to give love and to share this peace and source of strength which is for everyone. I also want to be the best version of myself in whatever I am doing in life, whether in my study, work, or even in my fitness goals. 2019 was great and I know 2020 will always be great no matter where life leads me to. Do my very best in everything and continue to love, to care and to give.
Till then, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Same place, same me. But a year older, a year wiser, they say.
I have seen many people posted the best nine photos in Instagram or Facebook to summarize the year in 2019. I started to think to myself, how about my 2019 then? Are there any memorable things that I learn that I hope to capture in this space for me to look back once again? My 2019 ~~
